The CUSPIS project deployed operative solutions for the Secure Cultural Assets Transportation and for the Fruition in open Archaeological areas. Technologies include identification and authentication, precise positioning, smart communication, advanced IT technologies for robust and scalable infrastructures, advanced mapping techniques, User Terminals, smart interfaces, Agent/Ontologies and RFID technologies. CUSPIS demonstrations were held at the UNESCO Villa Adriana site in Italy and real transportation for exhibits. The CUSPIS system fosters the advances of the City Tourist Fruition System derived from the TWIST project (GJU FP6 SME) and utilises the X-Info Infomobility infrastructure of the VeRT Fp6 Project and the SPESSS SME project (focused on solutions for vehicular road tolling/TLZ and Emergency Services solutions and demonstrated at the Turin Winter Olympic Games and derived from the INStANT-Olympic ones – demonstrated during the Athens Olympic Games). CUSPIS is unique in the scope of the Cultural Heritage User Community.
The Growing GALILEO final exhibition for CUSPIS enclose representative
solutions of the project including the Transportation User Terminals (a
PDAs for identification/authentication and a monitoring/control station
– Tablet PC) and the Frution (a PDA and an Ultramobile). The stand
will also include the replication of the CUSPIS Control Center and the
interface to the CUSPIS Process Portals.
